RSC Glosses Over C4ST’s Claims of Conflicted Panel
- 0 Comments
On May 23rd, 2013 C4ST CEO Frank Clegg issued a letter (click here to read) to the Royal Society of Canada in which he clearly laid out and explained a number of objections that C4ST has re the 6 members of the panel selected by the RSC to review Health Canada’s Safety Code 6.
On June 5th, 2013 Mr Clegg received a response from the RSC’s Secretary of Expert Panels Mr T Geoffrey Flynn (click here to read) in which he acknowledges that there are conflicts of interest with the selected panelists but dismisses them as ‘largely known” and “almost inevitable”. Mr Flynn also invited C4ST to nominate a peer reviewer.
On June 20th, 2013 In light of Mr Flynn’s response and the recent Canadian Medical Association article (click here to read) on this conflict of interest and pending review of the panel chair, Mr Clegg submitted this response. (click here to read)
