Parents Moving Forward with Legal Appeal to B.C. Ministry of Education
- 0 Comments
On June 20th, 2013 the Ministry of Education and Sooke School District #62 (BC) were presented with our comprehensive legal appeal – forty-three pages plus forty attachments that clearly outline the responsibility of school districts to accommodate children who are electromagnetically sensitive to wireless communications in the classroom.
This precedent-setting case will lead the way to new policies and restrictions in schools re EMF exposure, benefitting all children across Canada with healthier classrooms.
According to the Supreme Court of Canada, inclusion by way of adequate accommodation “is the ramp that provides access to the statutory commitment to education made to all children in British Columbia,” regardless of their individual gifts or functional impairments. In Canada, this is, or has been, what defines us as an inclusive, democratic society.
Once a response from the Ministry is received, we will post this important legal document and all supportive attachments on the following websites: www.citizensforsafetechnology.org andwww.c4st.org.
Only during this appeals process, we ask please for your support by way of donations big or small, to help us cover legal expenses.
