The Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection of the necessity to regulate strictly the use of Wi-Fi in kindergartens and schools. Mobile cellular communication is getting more popular among children of different ages. Children excel adult population in the mobile phone calls use. What has come to be known as the “Brazil Study” is a recent study carried out by the Municipal Government of Belo Horizonte along with 3 Universities located in Brazil. This work submitted in 2011, incorporated epidemiological research taken from death records, telecommunications records and city population data. The results showed that there is a spatial correlation between deaths by neoplasia. Neoplasia represents the growth of tissue which can be benign, potentially malignant or malignant in nature. In this case, higher mortality rates were exhibited for the residents inside a radius of 500 meters from cellular telephone base stations. In fact, there were 14 times more deaths within a 500 meter radius than outside 500 meters.
From Health Canada’s website: “There are a small number of epidemiology studies that have shown brain cancer rates might be elevated in long-term/heavy cell phone users. Other epidemiology studies on cell phone users, laboratory studies and animal cancer studies have not supported this association. The International Agency for Research on Cancer's (IARC) recent classification of RF energy as "possibly carcinogenic to humans" is an acknowledgement that limited data exists that suggests RF energy might cause cancer. At present, the scientific evidence is far from conclusive and more research is required.
